Sales Engineer
We are looking to recruit on behalf of our Client in the Norfolk area an experienced Sales Engineer who is able to identify and create business opportunities. To be achieved through ongoing development of client relationships and opportunities by defining and providing technical solutions, providing long term client value whilst maximising revenues and profits.
Promote product lines in the defined market area.
Ensure that the industry as a whole is fully aware of the equipment and engineering capabilities and ensure marketing literature fits the go-forward need.
Define tactical technical and commercial go-forward plans and forward strategy with the Sales Manager/product line managers.
Liaise closely with the Sales Manager and product line managers to communicate the technical challenges, where development of the product can maximise client efficiencies and profit. Define areas in the market to build niche solutions.
Establish and maintain contact with the appropriate development, engineering and purchasing staff employed by operators within market area.
Development and growth of market share by targeting key projects, the project decision makers/ senior engineering staff, and convert through technical and commercial work to Purchase Orders.
Build and maintain relationships with regional teams for common solution approaches.
Contribute to the preparation and compilation of the commercial content of documents relating to pre-qualifications, quotations and tenders in readiness for timely submission in an accurate and professionally presented manner. This will be carried out in conjunction with the Proposals Manager.
Monitor and report on competitor and operator activity.
Compile Customer visit reports and business development reports on a regular basis.
Gather information for, and pro-actively contribute to, the processes of business planning and compiling the annual budgets.
As required, contribute to various Sales/Marketing events.
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
ADDITIONAL RELEVANT INFORMATION ABOUT the Role:
This position will involve travel within the UK and mainland Europe, therefore the incumbent must hold a valid UK driving licence and passport. Candidates will be required to work in a range of client locations.
