A world leader in specialist packaging industry currently seeks a Shift & Quality Manager with solid experience of quality standards and people management. The company has a very healthy order book for 2010/2011 and needs an experienced proactive Quality Manager with strong people management skills. Norfolk. Shift Manager role:
Support the assembly and press departments, in ensuring that all production lines produce high quality products. Assist in the organisation of labour and production to maximise efficiencies and quality.
The Shift Manager duties:
Health & Safety
Promote quality performance & improvement throughout the department.
Develop, implement, communicate & maintain all quality requirements.
Root cause analysis
Document procedures.
Manage the shift personnel for maximum efficiency
Appraisals, interviews and training
Support problem solving within the shift to minimise downtime and increase efficiency.
Complete and prepare reports and presentations on issues regarding production, H&S or labour issues
Quality data
Complete daily product analysis
Ideally with a QC qualification the successful Shift Manager / Quality Manager will have excellent Man Management skills. Ability to analyse data effectively, be willing to support change and to look for opportunities for improvement.
Position commutable from: Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Kings Lynn, Lowestoft, Thetford.
